Greetings from the editorial team,
As my tenure comes to an end as an editor-in-chief of JIAOMR (2020–2021), I would like to thank Almighty God and respected IAOMR members, for providing me with this distinguished opportunity.
I hope in these last 2 years I have lived up to the highest standards of professionalism, which is required to keep up the standing of the journal.
The utmost priority was to get the journal released on desired publication time frame as per the requirements of the indexing body. The journal was assessed for the quality of articles and strict compliance to the protocols and guidelines laid down by the indexing bodies. Great amount of effort and hard work by the editorial team helped in getting our journal indexed with databases like SCOPUS, Web of Science, ESCI (Emerging Science Citation Index), UGC. The journal data have already been successfully updated on their respective databases.
The application for PMC indexing has already been submitted for evaluation and is currently being evaluated by the PMC team.
There was no dearth of enthusiasm from our contributors. We received around 300 manuscripts in 2020 and have received 350 submissions till date in 2021. There was an enthusiastic response from international authors as well. A total of 8 online and offline issues were published in the years 2020 and 2021.
The editorial team decided to have a more scientific cover page for the journal. A new front cover design was incorporated to give a fresh, modern, and vibrant outlook to the journal. It was brainchild of our respected Dr. Soheyl Sheikh who is no longer amongst us.
Wolters Kluwer Publisher have come up with a new webpage and an online portal for authors. The technical team at Wolters Kluwer is continuously working hard for smooth functioning to keep the website up and running. I take this opportunity on behalf of the IAOMR members and editorial team to thank MedKnow publishers for aiding in releasing online issues of the journal on time.
The issue of hard copies was discussed in AGM at Amritsar in 2019. Many of the hard copies go missing or were returned due to wrong addresses leading to collosal waste. To avoid inconvenience and undue wastage, the addresses of the members were updated for quick reference and validation. It is our sincere request to all the esteemed IAOMR members who wish to have a hard copy should update their address details on the IAOMR website.
I would take this opportunity to thank each and every member of my editorial team for their relentless efforts and support during my tenure as editor-in-chief. I would also like to thank all the reviewers who helped us in reviewing the manuscripts without whom the publishing would have been impossible.
We wish JIAOMR will always climb new heights in the coming years and with the new editorial teams.
